July 1, 2011 / Shampooch! Framing Ideas
Shown: Crate and Barrel Museum 2-Opening
Remember, when you print your photos you can crop them in certain ways to make interesting groupings.
I also want to let everyone know, I’ve decided to go through all of the photos again and apply more artistic styles. I’ll be emailing all of you personally when I am done!
June 1, 2011 / Shampooch! Be there June 26 to help pups (and to get awesome photos of your dog!)
This year I am ecstatic to be part of a charity event benefiting Pet Rescue by Judy and the Harbor House of Central Florida PAWS (Pet And Women’s Shelter) Program. The event is none other than Shampooch, hosted by the ever so lovely Lambs Eat Ivy salon in downtown Orlando. Lambs is known not only for their absolutely amazing stylists, but also for their deep love of animals.
The 5th Annual Shampooch takes place Sunday, June 26 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Thornton Park. Bring your pooches by for a dog washing party where dozens of volunteers will be sudsing and bubbling your pups! The event also includes a chance to take advantage of professional pet photography (taken by me), and a silent auction including items such as a brand new iPad. And don’t forget there will be delicious food – nosh at Orlando’s most popular food trucks! An adoption drive by Pet Rescue by Judy will also be on site in case you’d like to add a loving addition to your family.
Why Shampooch Needs Your Help!
Pet Rescue by Judy is planning a very much needed spay/neuter clinic. Shampooch needs as many pet-lovers as possible to come out and donate money for the clinic opening as well as contribute funds for their day-to-day operations. Click here to read more about how Pet Rescue by Judy came to be a beautiful blessing for animals in desperate need.
Proceeds will also benefit the PAWS Program at Harbor House, which will allow women seeking shelter from domestic abuse to bring their pets and keep them at the Harbor House kennel. Donations are needed to build the kennel and for vaccinations/examinations for these beloved pets which otherwise may have been left behind if not for PAWS. Read more about PAWS.
P.S. Want some amazing photos of your pets?
I’ll be on site the entire day taking portraits! We’ll be set up in Mother Falcon (817 E Washington) who graciously allowed us to use their space for setting up a studio, allowing me to offer modern, colorful photos of your pets. All proceeds go to Pet Rescue by Judy. On the day of Shampooch, a $20 donation is due at the time of the session. Approximately 3-5 photos will be taken of each pet. The photos will be accessible by clicking “Proofs” at the top of my website. We are offering digital downloads for $10 each, and all of the proceeds become your donations to benefit pets in need. The Shampooch event will be available online for the entire month of July.
If for any reason you are not able to login to my proofs site, please ensure that pop-ups are enabled. This can happen in certain browsers but is not a problem for most!

February 8, 2011 / Midnight and Luna : Orlando Pet Photography
Whenever I’m able to do pet portraits I just feel giddy, especially when there are puppies involved. And especially when they are as cute as Midnight and Luna! I have a true love for dogs and am always excited when asked to capture the sweet expressions of furry kids.
I met Nick and Rae’s little pups on Superbowl Sunday (which is a pretty great afternoon for me since I am not a sports person). I spent about an hour rolling around on the floor a bit, obtaining that perfect “puppy level” and getting the pups more comfortable with me. Nick and Rae were also a huge help with giving out treats and helping them to pose. What would I have done without them? Pet photography is always one of the most challenging tasks! These puppies were active, sweet and ready to play.
Midnight, a lab mix, was such a big sweetheart and kept crawling into my lap and giving me kisses. Luna, a morkie, was so adorable and tiny. The first thing I thought when I saw her was, “Wow, she looks bigger on the Internet!” She was super cute and so small.
When you meet these dogs in person, you won’t immediately realize that they have matching white patches on their chests and under their chins! I wasn’t fully aware of it myself until I started editing their photos. Here’s some of my favorite shots from our session!

September 17, 2010 / A Day Off – Sort Of!

I didn’t have any appointments today so I got to catch up on a lot of things, and have some quality puppy time with our Milo.
September 11, 2010 / Orlando Pet Photographer – Sailor and Sweet Pea

What sweet girls! Sail and Pea were adorable pups who loved carrots and apples for snacks – that is something I need to take up myself! Mom helped me out so much during our photo session and I can’t thank her enough. Their home was beautiful and decorated with such warm tones, it was really a photographer’s paradise. What a perfect afternoon of creating lasting memories!
